Privacy policy
Last updated: 15 October 2026
Your privacy matters. This page explains what information we keep, why, and what control you have over it. We handle personal data in line with the data-protection law of the country where omidapp operates.
Information we keep
- Mobile number to identify your account and contact you about services; SMS is sent only when the service and relevant settings are enabled.
- Name and delivery address that you enter for shopping or booking.
- Date of birth requested at registration only for birthday greetings; it is never shown to businesses.
- Appointment, order and payment history for service delivery, support and tax obligations.
- The name of the channel you came from, if you arrived through a link ending in “?az=…”; only that name is kept in your browser and next to your account, so we know which page or channel helped, and nothing else about you.
- Minimal technical information such as IP address and browser type, only for account security and abuse prevention.
Information we do not keep
- Card number, PIN and security code (CVV); enter these only on the payment provider's page.
- Your precise location; “Near me” uses it only to sort current results and does not store it.
- Photo location metadata (EXIF) is automatically removed on upload.
Who sees your information
- The business or seller you book or buy from sees only the details needed for that appointment or delivery.
- Return evidence photos are visible only to you, the seller for that order and support.
- When you apply for a job and give permission, your name, experience, message and mobile are shown only to that business.
- A business that recommended a product sees only purchase amount and date, not your name, address or number.
- Your information is never sold for advertising and is disclosed to authorities only when the law requires it, for example under a court order.
Table ordering
Your mobile is stored encrypted with consent history for order follow-up and aggregate statistics. Authorised staff at that business can see it to contact you about the order. Information is kept as needed for follow-up and your requests. omidapp notices are limited and include one-step unsubscribe links; cafe offers require separate consent.
Personal tools and sign-in across apps
Personal budgets, expenses, due dates and vehicle details are kept to operate those tools. Shared expenses, shares and receipts are visible to authorised group members. Stopping use of a tool does not erase its history.
Your CV is visible if you choose public publication. Sending an application and mobile to a business requires your permission in the form. For academy sign-in, account ID, name and number pass privately between services to link accounts; passwords do not. “My courses” receives course and school names, status and access dates.
Exact retention periods and supplementary agreements are not finalised. This describes current capabilities and does not promise automatic deletion at a specified time.
Security
Connections use HTTPS, sign-in codes are stored hashed, staff access is restricted and audited, and sensitive seller financial information is encrypted.
Your control
- Disable non-essential SMS in notification settings. Promotional messages require consent and are sent outside rest hours.
- From My account lets you edit your name or delete your account. On deletion, your name, birth date and connections are removed; financial records are retained for the legally required period.
Privacy questions
From support with the topic “Account”.
Chatting with a business
We keep chat messages and photos to provide the service and settle disputes. These photos are not public; only the two sides of the chat can see them. When needed, such as for a complaint, a report or a safety check, a small number of authorised omidapp staff may review the chat and its photos; each review is recorded with the person's name, the time and the chat id.
Automatic checks look for unsafe messages and attempts to move payment outside omidapp. If translation is on, only the message text is sent to the translation service; photos are never sent for translation.
